Junior Volunteer Program
Our Junior Volunteer Program at Winchester Hospital
At Winchester Hospital, we're proud to be home to one of largest junior volunteer programs in the state. It is our mission to introduce young people to both community service and careers in health care - and our Junior Volunteer Program does just that.
Why Volunteer?
The famous writer and philosopher Kahlil Gibran once said, “You give but little when you give of your possessions. It is when you give of yourself that you truly give.”
As a junior volunteer, you'll feel good about yourself and you'll also:
- Complete useful and important tasks
- Learn lots of new things
- Make a positive impact on many people
- Be able to add experience to your resume or service portfolio
Junior Volunteer Opportunities
Some of the junior volunteer work at Winchester Hospital includes assignment such as:
- Transporting patients by wheelchair
- Helping with patient discharges
- Distributing charts and reports
- Transporting supplies and specimens across the hospital
- Delivering flowers to patients
- Staffing reception desks and greeting patients
- Stocking supplies and cleaning equipment
