Sometimes, you know you need emergency department (ED) care. But other times, it isn't so clear. Maybe you sprained an ankle during a weekend pick-up basketball game. Or perhaps you came home from work to find your child with a high fever. If the doctor's office is closed, urgent care is an easy way to get the quick medical attention you need. It's usually faster than the ED, and it provides the same high-level care.
Winchester Hospital operates urgent care centers in Wilmington and Woburn. They're staffed with board-certified physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and nurses. These caring professionals are experienced in emergency medicine. They can quickly evaluate your condition and get you the treatment you need, typically at a lower cost than in the ED.
Our urgent care centers treat more than 28,000 people each year. They offer onsite X-rays and laboratory services. And with their convenient locations, there's always one close by. You can turn to them anytime you're dealing with a non-life-threatening illness or injury.
If you're unsure if urgent care is right for you, please call us. We're happy to help get you the right level of care.
No appointment is necessary for urgent care; you simply walk in. Your care is important to us. And we make every effort to see and treat you as quickly as possible. But please be aware, for everyone’s benefit, we focus on those with the most serious conditions first. This means you may not be treated in the order in which you arrive.
To ensure you get the best care, you may require X-rays or lab service. These may take time, but we pledge to keep you informed and create a respectful, calm environment. We ask you to partner with us in these efforts.
Walk-ins are welcome, but for your convenience you can also reserve your spot from home. Learn how to reserve a spot using the buttons under the Featured Location sites below.
