Helping you achieve restful sleep and better health

Sleep Health at Winchester Hospital

Accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, Winchester Hospital’s Sleep Disorders Center helps people with sleep-related health challenges. Our sleep experts care for people with sleep apnea, snoring, restless legs syndrome, insomnia and more.

Many people develop sleep issues as adults, but few of them actually seek treatment. If you believe you may have a sleep condition, seeking treatment is important. Some sleep conditions have been linked to potentially serious medical conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, stroke and heart disease.

About the Sleep Disorders Center

Our sleep experts are dedicated to advancing sleep treatment and working to understand the connection between sleep and health. Our experts have received certifications in sleep medicine from the American Board of Sleep Medicine.

We are the first sleep disorder service in the region north of Boston. Our program continues to embrace the newest treatments and technologies available.

To receive treatment at the Winchester Hospital Sleep Disorders Center, you need a referral from your doctor. Ask your doctor’s office to contact us at 781-756-2325 to begin the referral process.

Sleep Studies

If you need a sleep study at the Sleep Disorders Center, you arrive in the evening and stay with us overnight. Our facility is handicapped-accessible, featuring designated parking spaces and a convenient ramp for entry.

Upon your arrival, a member of our sleep health team will guide you to your private, comfortable room. Each room is equipped with a flat-screen television and DirecTV.

Once you are settled in, a care team member will attach monitors to your body. We carefully position the monitors in a way that is both comfortable and non-intrusive. After your setup, you are welcome to read or watch TV until you feel tired and fall asleep.

While you sleep, our state-of-the-art equipment will measure your breathing, heart rate, blood-oxygen level, and more. In the morning, you will leave the center and can resume your normal activities. Our sleep experts will then review your study data and determine the nature of your sleep disorder. At the end of the process, our experts will suggest possible treatment options and the next steps for your care plan.
