Calcium Scanning Now Offered at Winchester Hospital

Winchester Hospital now offers patients CT heart scans to measure the amount of calcium in the heart’s arteries. This is a low-radiation exam that can be performed on anyone but is especially recommended for patients who may be at an increased risk for heart disease.

This self-pay exam only takes about 15 minutes and there’s no injection required. Your results will be interpreted by Winchester Hospital’s board-certified Radiologists and your calcium score will be sent back to your referring physician for follow-up.
