Winchester Hospital Welcomes New Board Members
New Members Will Help Guide Winchester Hospital's Mission
Winchester, MA – Winchester Hospital announced today that six new members have joined the hospital’s Board of Trustees: Alicia C. Clarke; Edward F. Doherty; Freddie G. Jacobs; Paul L. Mucci; Neal I. Muni, MD; and Mark D. Ohanian. Additionally, William H. McCance has been named chair of the board.
Winchester Hospital's board is made up of dedicated professionals with a wealth of personal and professional experience and a shared commitment to the hospital’s mission to create healthier communities — one person at a time — through seamless care and ground-breaking science, driven by excellence, innovation and equity.
“Our Board of Trustees provides valuable insight to the hospital’s leadership team, advancing our shared priorities to enhance the care we provide Winchester and the surrounding communities,” said Tim Jones, Interim President, Winchester Hospital. “We are grateful to our new board members for their willingness to serve the hospital and our patients.”

About Winchester Hospital’s New Trustees
Alicia C. Clarke
Ms. Clarke of Clarke CPA provides tax and personal finance advisory services in the Winchester area. She previously was a senior auditor at PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Ms. Clarke received a bachelor's degree from Holy Cross College and a master's degree in accounting from Northeastern University. She lives in Winchester with her husband, and they have four adult children.
Edward F. Doherty
Mr. Doherty is the president & chief executive officer of StonehamBank, where he is responsible for the bank’s strategic direction and management. Mr. Doherty currently serves as a vice chair on the Cooperative Bank Employee Retirement Association, as a director of Zoo New England and for Connor’s Kindness Project. He is currently serving as the Massachusetts State Delegate for the Independent Community Bankers Association and has previously held the position of Stoneham Chamber of Commerce President, Boys and Girls Club of Woburn Vice President and as a trustee on the Melrose Wakefield Hospital.
Mr. Doherty completed his undergraduate studies at Babson College and is also a graduate of the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking. Mr. Doherty lives with his family in Hanover.
Freddie G. Jacobs
Mr. Jacobs is president and chief executive officer of Northeast Retirement Services, LLC (NRS) and its subsidiary Global Trust Company (GTC). Additionally, he is president of Institutional Trust Services of BPAS. He has over 30 years of experience in the investment industry and previously worked at various firms including JP Morgan and State Street.
Mr. Jacobs graduated from Hampton University with a bachelor's degree in accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Paul L. Mucci
Mr. Mucci is a former executive with Devonshire Investors, a private investment firm affiliated with FMR LLC, the parent company of Fidelity Investments. Mr. Mucci has also served in leadership roles at Impresa Management LLC; Star Horizon Management LLC; Fidelity Capital; Fidelity Ventures; General Cinema Theatres; and Wang Laboratories.
Mr. Mucci resides in Woburn with his wife.
Neal I. Muni, MD
Dr. Muni currently serves as the Managing Director at RTK Group, a biopharmaceutical investment and advisory fund. Dr. Muni has served as an operator, investor, and advisor to multiple biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies. Prior to RTK Group, Dr. Muni was the Chief Executive Officer of Azurity Pharmaceuticals. Dr. Muni holds staff appointments at Harvard Medical School and its leading teaching hospitals, including Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where he completed his residency in Internal Medicine. He continues to actively practice inpatient medicine and teach medical residents and students as a staff Hospitalist and dedicates time mentoring the next generation of biotech entrepreneurs through Harvard University's Wyss Institute, MassBio, and the University of Toronto's Creative Destruction Lab.
Dr. Muni received his medical degree and Master of Science in Public Health from Tulane University School of Medicine and his Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science from Brown University. He currently resides in Wellesley with his wife and two children.
Mark D. Ohanian
Mr. Ohanian is a founder and owner of Area Salon Studios, which empowers beauty stylists by providing turnkey luxury salon spaces and support to make business ownership attainable and more profitable for salon entrepreneurs. He also serves on the Board of Directors of The Francis Ouimet Scholarship Fund.
Mr. Ohanian is a graduate of Trinity College and holds both a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Finance from Bentley University. He currently lives in Winchester with his wife and daughter.
