Winchester Hospital Nationally Recognized with an ‘A’ Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade
Winchester, MA – Tushar Somani, MBA, has been named chief operating officer at Winchester Hospital. Somani is an accomplished senior leader who brings 20 years of experience in operations, strategic planning and project management to the role. As chief operating officer, he will be responsible for overseeing key clinical, facility, outpatient and support departments.

Somani comes to Winchester Hospital from St. Peter’s Health Partners, based in Albany, NY, and a member of Trinity Health, where he served since 2017 as regional vice president for Administrative Services, overseeing a broad range of operational services for the system’s five acute care campuses, 12 long-term care facilities, and more than 90 physician practice locations. Prior to that, he was with Aramark Corporation as their vice president of operations at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals in Philadelphia, PA, and also held other previous roles within Aramark for 14 years.

Somani earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Huddersfield in England, his Bachelor of Science degree from Widener University in Pennsylvania, and his Master of Business Administration degree from Northeastern University. He is also a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).
