| Smoking Cessation |
This service is made available to anyone who is seriously interested in quitting smoking. The seven-week program is designed to meet your individual needs as well as support you within a group of people whose goals are similar to your own. During the fourth week the group quits together and meets again two days later. Through a collaborative effort between a highly trained facilitator, Laurie Lane, RRT, Certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist and members of the group you will receive:
You DO NOT have to quit on your own! The plan is to quit together as a group after several weeks of significant preparation.
Here's what some people are saying about our smoking cessation program: "The Keep the Change Program helped me greatly to quit the habit. I am now a non-smoker and will remain so. I am convinced Laurie Lane presents an informative class with a supportive ambiance." "Finally, a place that is local and down to earth enough to sustain and support a change in one's life." "The class helped me understand the addiction. It was reassuring to have had setbacks and yet the full support of the class. It is a battle I have to wage every day, some days are easier than others. I've realized through this program that smoking does nothing to reduce my stress or make a difficult situation better." Registration is ongoing by calling the Winchester Hospital Community Health Institute at (781) 756-4700. Limited seating is available so early registration is encouraged. Classes may be cancelled due to low enrollment so gather your family and friends and quit together!
Classes run for seven weeks.
