Marit Davies, Director of Materials Management at Winchester Hospital, Presented with 2009 Daniel J. Brady Jr. Award
Winchester, Mass. – Marit Davies, director of materials management at Winchester Hospital, was recently presented with the 2009 Daniel J. Brady Jr. Award by the New England Society for Healthcare Materials Management for excellence in healthcare materials management.
The award is voted on by members of the New England Society for Healthcare Materials Management. A resident of Franklin, Davies is chairperson of the organization’s Education Committee and served on its Board of Directors from 2003-06.
“Marit captures the very essence of excellence in healthcare materials management, through which Winchester Hospital operates safely, efficiently and cost-effectively,” said Kevin Smith, president and chief executive officer of Winchester Hospital. “We are proud of her tremendous achievement.”
Based in Ipswich, the New England Society for Healthcare Materials Management provides healthcare material management professionals with education on industry best practices, encourages peer networking and sponsors forums. The organization is an affiliated chapter of the Association for Healthcare Resource & Materials Management.
